Lasso Technical Support Details

LassoSoft offers a range of levels of tech support for our products. Please take a moment to review the options below, before selecting the package that best suits your needs.

Support Issues vs. Bug Issues: A "bug" is defined as Lasso functionality that demonstrably does not work as documented. If you have a supported version of Lasso (9 or 8.6) and your issue is identified as a bug inherent in the platform, there will be no charge for your support request If paid, your support time will be held in credit. Plus, we'll thank you for uncovering the bug!

General Inquiries: All inquiries are welcomed at support@lassosoft.com, and the first five minutes of email support are free. For guidance on resolving minor queries, such as finding the best way to perform a certain function, the LassoTalk community can often provide the information you need. If they think the issue needs LassoSofts help, they'll let you know and you can contact us from there.

Installation Support: Free with every purchase or upgrade of a Lasso platform (except upgrade from 8.1 or older to 8.6). We'll provide up to one hour of email-based support to ensure optimal installation and initial operation of the Lasso software.

Basic Technical Support: $180/hour current Perpetual License, or $220/hour older Perpetual Licenses ($150/hour for current CLDs/Master License). Regular technical support accessed via email. LassoSoft is committed to responding to these requests within eight business hours. The first five minutes of support is always free, subsequent minutes are billed at $3 CAD per minute and must be pre-purchased before the support session. When we receive your initial support request, we’ll advise you of the expected amount of support time you should purchase.

Pre-Paid Technical Support: $192 for 1.5hrs current Perpetual License ($160 for CLDs/Master License). Buy now, and be prepared! Get 30 FREE minutes of email support with an 8 business hour response when you pre-purchase 60 minutes of basic technical support. Minutes are valid for one year from date of purchase, and may not be used within the first 24 hours of purchase.

Code Consultancy: $220/hour. In the middle of a project and looking for some advice? We’ll set you up with one of our core group of LassoSoft developers for a one-on-one consultancy specific to your exact project. Review coding completed so far, receive tips to improve performance and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing your project is being all it can be.

Code Red IMMEDIATE Emergency Support: from $300 Supported and $450 non-supported versions. Code Red is a technical support service via phone or email for Lasso users requiring urgent, critical assistance. Initial cost is for the first 60 minutes. Response time from LassoSoft within 60 minutes.

Supported: $300 CAD first hour/$3 minute additional time for users on Lasso Version and OS's listed:

  • Lasso 8.6, 9.0, 9.1
  • Mac OSX 10.5/10.6; 10.7
  • CentOS 5.5, 6
  • Ubuntu 10 (Lasso 8 only), 11.04 (Lasso 9x only)
  • Windows 2003, 2008, Win7 - (currently for Lasso 8x only) (Note: excludes Vista)

Non-Supported: $450 CAD first hour/$4.50 minute additional time for all other operating systems and versions of Lasso not listed as supported. Note that older system version support is not guaranteed, but is offered on a best efforts and expertise basis. Issue resolution may still require upgrading to a current supported version.


Code Doctor Assessment: $1500/session
Think of it as a coding check-up! One of LassoSoft’s highly-experienced, veteran developers will spend eight hours going through your existing Lasso coding and produce a thorough developer-level report specific to your usage that will help you achieve optimal performance, attain best practices and improve your skills going forward.
