The tags in Lasso are represented by a tag data type. Tags can be manipulated like other data types in Lasso. They can be assigned to variables or stored in maps. Tags even have a number of member tags which can be used to get information about them or to execute them.
Instances of the tag data type can be found in the [Tags] array. For example, [Var: 'myTag' = Tags->(Find: 'Field')] will store a copy of the [Field] tag in a variable. The tag can then be run using the [Tag->Run] member tag. [$myTag->(Run: -Params='Field Name')] is now equivalent to [Field: 'Field Name'].
More information about the tag data type can be found in the Extending Lasso Guide.
