Hi Steffan,

I have wound back my business to maintain only 3 graphic design clients for the time being and a few months ago I started working full-time in a regular job as Business Development Manager. I have supported Lasso during even the darkest days but, I can't justify anymore the costs of maintaining software which I don't use anymore, if I don't have a need for it in the foreseeable future.

Meanwhile, if spare time permits, I may use the development license to brush up on my skills that have gone very rusty during the last couple of years. Maybe one day I will be able to utilise my Lasso skills again...

My response was:

It was meant to be both, but is only a content management system to date. I started looking into Quark and ID server versions to take it to the next step but that part hasn't happened. Yet. The complexity of dealing with automating pages other than rigid catalog type layouts was starting to look very challenging to accomplish in the layout apps. And there are some very good systems out there already such as this, but they come at high cost for obvious reasons.

Hi all,

Just a quick update. I am unable to put enough time into doing anything further with this project unfortunately. Hence, I really want to sell my unlimited license, and if anyone is remotely interested, I will offer a special deal to any buyer=85 (e.g. ignore the normal full price :) If anyone wants my old Lasso 8 code, you are welcome to have that for free with the license.

I probably will follow Lasso's fortunes for a little longer but am only able to 'lurk' on the list for now.
