Terms and conditions of entry

Before submitting your proposal, please review the following Terms and Conditions and acknowledge your acceptance by checking the box marked "I accept". Note that all eligible submissions (along with the applicants name and company/organization) will be posted online for public review, voting and comment.

LassoSoft Excellence Awards ("LEA") Submission Terms and Conditions:

In submitting to LEA an entry that expresses my systems main Lasso based functionality ("Submission") and a 2-3 sentence written description of my Lasso systems code ("Written Summary"), I hereby:

1. declare that I will comply with all Program application guidelines and submission instructions made available online at www.lassosoft.com ("Website");
2. represent and warrant to LassoSoft that my Submission is original and the work was coded by and/or owned by me using original code and/or public domain code;
3. waive all moral rights, if any, in and to my Submission in favour of LassoSoft, and grant LassoSoft an irrevocable, non-exclusive, assignable, sub-licensable, paid-up, worldwide license to use, reproduce, publish, communicate, distribute, edit, translate, adapt, copy and otherwise use ("Use") all or any part of my Submission for any purpose relating to the Lasso Excellence Awards;
4. represent and warrant to LassoSoft that (i) I have obtained all permissions and clearances necessary for me to grant the license to LassoSoft set out above and for LassoSoft to Use my Submission; and (ii) LassoSofts Use of my Submission will not infringe the intellectual property or other rights of any third party;
5. agree that, at the sole discretion of LassoSoft, my Submission, along with my name and the name of the company or organization with which I am affiliated, may be posted on the Website for public review, voting and comment;
6. agree that LassoSoft reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove any Submission deemed to be obscene, defamatory, unlawful or otherwise inappropriate in nature or content and disqualify my LEA submission;
7. agree that, at the sole discretion of LassoSoft, my Written Summary may be used by LassoSoft for any future publicity or programming purposes, in any media, without compensation or notice; and
8. fully discharge and release LassoSoft, its owners, directors, managers, administrators, partners, affiliates, employees, representatives and agents from any liability or claims arising as a result of my participation in this Program or LassoSofts use of my Submission or Written Summary in the manner described above.
9. Judging will be by a panel of the LassoSoft team of no less than 3 individuals. A fourth judging spot may be awarded to a guest (non-Lasso) judge.
