[ string->remove ]

Method

[String->Remove] removes a portion of the string object.

An optional first parameter specifies the first character to be removed, and defaults to the first character in the string object.

An optional second parameter specifies how many characters should be removed. The second parameter defaults to removing all the characters from the removed character to the end of the string.

This method returns no value, but the string object is modified in-place.

To remove a portion of a string:

Use the [String->Remove] method. The following examples create a string object, remove specified portions from the string object, then outputs the result.
